How I Work
What It’s Like to Work With Me
Therapy with me is relational, collaborative, and paced with care. I don’t rush your process, and I don’t push past your defenses. I understand the importance of safety and trust in the therapeutic relationship, and I aim to create a space where you can bring forward parts of yourself that may have been long silenced, guarded, or hidden.
I work with resistance as something meaningful - a strategy that may have once served you well. Instead of trying to "get past" it, we get curious about what it might be protecting and why.
When shame arises, I don't try to talk you out of it. I stay with it alongside you. So often, shame is inherited or absorbed from systems, families, or histories that taught us we were unworthy. My role is not to interpret or correct, but to witness and make room for what hasn’t had room.
In my work with trauma, I stay attentive to the impact on the nervous system, on identity, and on relationship. We move carefully, allowing new experiences of safety and connection to emerge over time. It isn’t about catharsis - it’s about presence, mutual reflection, and the kind of relationship that makes something new possible.
I believe therapy can be a place of repair and possibility. A place where the past doesn’t disappear, but becomes part of a larger, more coherent story. You don’t have to have it all figured out to begin. You just have to be willing to start.
